How to read it
The rows are the mix. The columns are the year. A filled cell means that species is in flower that month — so a column that's full from top to bottom is the meadow's peak, and a row that runs long is a species holding the season together.
Why it matters
A mix is a promise about time, not just colour. Stacked right, something is in bloom from april to september — nothing gaps, nothing peaks alone, and the pollinators never hit a wall.
